Office Pool

Recommended Posts

I'm doing a hockey pool within the office for the first time. the way it works is you pick whatever players you want from the playoff teams and you get points based on how many goals or assists they get, +/-, GAA, etc. I've picked my team already and was wondering what suggestions anyone has about possible players that could make a huge impact in the playoffs. Any info would be appreciated.

I love Quick. I wouldn't consider him streaky since he was pretty much stellar all the way up to the Olympics. He just seems to be off his game. I think it's a combination of being young (25), playing A LOT, being in the Olympics, and having his first child. Mentally, I think he's just not there. As a Kings fan, I want him to turn his game around but I have a feeling Jon Bernier will be getting called up if Quick looks sloppy tomorrow.

I've watched him play and there are times when he looks unbeatable. Who would you reccommend getting rid of in place of The Kings players?

With a playoff pool, your best bet is to pick the teams you think will go deep and load up on players for those teams. Picking one or two from every team just means you will have half your guys eliminated in the first round. Always avoid picking many guys that go head to head in the first round.

Good point. So take those SJ players off.
