Older Bauer Skates Question

Recommended Posts

Tried doing a search on the board, did not get very far, may be it is my browser that is junked up.

I am lookiong if anybody can compare a fit of an older Bauer player skates, like Supreme 3000, Supreme 7000, and Professional Series ( I think they went up to 80 or 90) to the current line. Are they closer to the Supreme, Vapor, or nothing at all?

If you were a Supreme fit foot then, you are a Supreme fit foot now. I had original(late 80s/early 90s) 3000 and late 90s 7000 skates. My ONE95 and TO fit me pretty much the same as those skates did to feel comfortable enough to say that. There are certainly changes in materials, construction, etc. but I think the fit is comparable. Vapor fit is different.

The Supreme line of old was a bith more narrower than the Supreme ONE series now, especially the toe box and the forefoot area. You'll find it much more easier on the forefoot if you found the older Supreme a bit tight, no longer have the Bauer "bump" where the toe cap is attached to the quarter material.

Similar fit around the heel and mid foot.

Good to know about the length. I was afraid of that. I have tried the vapor XXV and the vapor 40 now and still they do not fit like the old supremes. I also tried the supreme 70s from last year (or two years already?) and they a little too roomy. I am in size 9 for old supremes (3000) and had to go half a size down on the length in the One70.

Thanks again for all your help confirming my suspicions.

For the record, I have only used a 7000 model for a couple of hours. Can't really how different they would have been from the 3000s. I did not boil them either :-).
