Great Interview with Pavel Datsyuk

I've read a lot of interviews with athletes but this one has to be the most illuminating that I've seen, partly because of what Datsyuk was willing to say, and partly because of how long Datsyuk has been considerred a closed book as far as interviews and the media were concerned.

I got the honor of meeting him his 3rd year in. He was really nice to me, even though his english was poor. I believe i was 12 or 13 at the time. He signed a bunch of stuff and took pictures. He is probably one of the nicest players i've ever met.

Wow...amazing story. Never paid too much attention to him because he was so quiet. Great to see people overcome adversity in their lives like this and succeed.

Ugh, don't get me started on Albom, he's an insult to the industry. One of the most talented writers I've ever read but he doesn't do research, and 90% of his stuff reads like it was written in 15 minutes with no follow up. He panders to old people about the "good old days" and assumes all his readers are gullible idiots.
