Retired NHL players

Around Charlotte a few of the retired Charlotte Checkers play in our AA league. Jason Dawe also plays and he is by far the best person I've ever skated with. When I lived in Raleigh there was a team made up entirely of Czeck players. Jiri Kovarik played for them, and he played fairly competitively in Europe. He was also unreal to watch and play against.

Ed Belfour plays in "B League" here. There's a few other retirees but they dont really play consistently.

Got to play with Dallas Drake Saturday night...we were in a tournament and we had to play a team in a higher division..so he jumped on with us..we still lost 5-0

The Canlan sports league I was in this summer had about 3 or 4 pros on every team (from AHL, ECHL, and Europe) and the rest were either Junior A guys or College kids. It played out of york in Toronto. Great hockey - there was 1 player who really stood out though. Dave Nemirovsky, nobody could knock him off the puck no matter what they did. Very strong player. He played a couple of seasons in the NHL, but was sent back to the AHL, then eventually went to the KHL
