U+ CL problem

Recommended Posts

Hello, I bought a U+ CL few weeks back now along with a One95 and for some reason I can rarely raise the puck when taking slap shots. Everything is fine with snap shots, I just point where I want it to go and it does it. When I take slappers with the One95 everything is fine the problem is just with the CL. The curve on it is a Tavares and on the One95 a Malkin, so nothing massively different. Only thing maybe I can think is the blade on the CL is really long? So maybe that's causing a problem ?

So does anybody have an idea what I'm doing wrong ? Thanks :)

I'm currently trying to use an S17 coming from Dolomites (pretty similar pro-stock curves) and I'm having trouble getting a decent shot with the S17 which has a good rep for being a shooters stick. All's I can think of that is that I'm not so good with a mid-kick point, maybe you're the same. I'm pretty sure the U+ is low and the One95 is mid? Like everything I'm sure it'll just take some getting used to, I'm sure I'll have to tweak my technique a little.

Follow through. You might be in the habit of stopping your slapshot after contact with the puck. This is the thing I love the most about the U+ CL. If I cut down on the follow through....my slapper stays low. If I follow through and bring the stick up with the shot...it goes high.
