sitzlejd 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2010 I'm confused about how this disease spreads. Sharing water bottles maybe? Also, it's kind of amazing that two players died on the same team when less than 1% of people who encounter the virus fall ill, at least according to the article. At any rate, a very sad story. tamtamg 12 Report post Posted June 25, 2010 its spread via saliva exchange or prolonged touching of an infected individual. more than likely, it was spread through the sharing of water bottles. -microbiology nerd
sitzlejd 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2010 A guy on my team brought this up last night and said it was linked to the handshake line and handling of mouthguards before/after. Not sure if this is true, but something to think about I guess.
