chrisplosions 1 Report post Posted July 5, 2010 Hey guys, so i just switched from a Bauer X60 with a P88 curve to a Bauer one95 with a P92 curve..and although Bauer has them both at a Lie 6, the P92 is definitely higher..a 6.5 or 7. So before i stepped on the ice, i cut the one95 down to the same length as my X60 (just under my nose in socks). After the game i checked my stick and noticed that almost all the tape had worn out from the heel, which is how i realized they weren't the same Lie...so my question is, if i cut my stick down 1 or 1.5 inches will it compensate for the higher lie on the one95 P92 or will it just make the stick super short? CharlesC 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2010 That tape wear does indicate that you should cut the stick down some. I would make gradual cuts, and just take note of the tape wear after uses to determine if you have the right length.

I got the curve and flex but lie isnt easy it takes time i just use a belt sander and take the lie down by mm until its right where i want it.

If you're sanding the blade down, does that not wear through the material on the bottom and make the blade crack?
Chadd 916 Report post Posted July 7, 2010 When the toe starts wearing more than the heel.Or when you start missing pucks because there isn't as much length as you need.so my question is, if i cut my stick down 1 or 1.5 inches will it compensate for the higher lie on the one95 P92 or will it just make the stick super short? Most people can adapt to a stick being an inch or two shorter. Usually an inch or so is enough to make a higher lie feel "better" in your situation.
