Shinguards w/ good knee padding

Recommended Posts

So I've been falling heavily on my knees and my current pads (Itech 660s) are not doing the trick. I am feeling the shock of the impact and it is quite painful.

Anybody can recommend shinguards out there with good knee padding? I have skinnier legs. Tried the Rbk 4ks but those were too wide and was pretty happy with the Itechs except for this recent run of bad luck. Could be the foams on the knee area are compressed.

I've never felt any impacts with my 660s, I'm not sure how much more padding you're going to find. Maybe some volleyball kneepads would help in the meantime.

Reebok 8k Pro, I have them in 15", an inch too big for me (I'm 5'7") but I can jump up and land on my knees and its cushions great. I got them at an AHL sale but they can prolly be found on this sites sale thread or ebay.

I banged a knee one day when doing a public skate (long story) and ended up needing more knee protection while it healed. I got the RBK 10k and love them - never feel a thing. They are pretty wide though, so if the 4k didn't work for you, the 10k may not either.

I have Supreme 70s and their knee protection is awesome. Although to be fair, that year's Supreme line had problems with the knee cracking (I assume from taking slapshots, however) according to many people. They are fairly narrow for shin guards, too. Might be an option. Lots of protection, fairly light, I don't even feel them, and pretty narrow for my skinny legs.
