Just Bought bauer 20s pants

Recommended Posts

Alright im new to ice hockey, been playing roller for a little while anyhoo...I just bought a pair of bauer 20 pants and i was wondering whats, the opinion on these? They seem to offer quite a bit of protection except in the high inside thigh area, near the family jewels.Im kinda sketched on that because even when i put on the cup it seems like i could still get smashed up in that area. is it normal for no padding right there?

I have a few pairs of pants, some being bauer, and yes, it is normal to not have a ton of padding in the crotch area of the pants (mainly for mobility and comfort purposes), your cup is more than suffice for that job (I mean, getting hit there never feels good, but you don't need a bullet proof vest in your pants to get decent enough protection).

With many hockey pants the main padding is going to be thighs (front), tail bone, maybe hips, but they really don't focus on the junk area too much. But, with the more expensive the pants, the padding definitely gets more extensive. But, seeing as you're beginning in hockey, your pants will be more than fine I'm sure.
