Couple of thoughts on TotalOnes after good use

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to share my personal observations after a few months in TotalOnes - hopefully others who’ve been using them can chime in as well…

1) Stiffness: coming from One95 I felt right away that T1s are noticably softer, even with x-stiff interts. One can easily tell by simply squeezing the quarters & comparing with One100 or X60 (which feels like complete tanks comparing with T1s). I heard through the grape wine that this was done by design since some stiffness went into the tongue? I’m sure experts on this board will correct me where I’m wrong.

2) Sizing: Also something I felt right away, but didn’t take into consideration - T1a feel substantially roomier both widht & length wise. Again everyone is different, but for me it’s easily .5 size.

anybody else noticed anything similar or am I totally out for lunch?! :))

Thanks!

I have not skated in them so I can not speak on how they feel on the ice. But Iwas able to get my foot into a 11 d total one. This was amazing to me, all be it my toenails would have fallen off they were so snug. But I wear and fit comfortably into a pair of 12 EE One95's. If I new how much they would have broken in, I might have gotten a pair of 11.5's. I have since tried on a pair of one100's in 11.5 d and they felt as snug as the total one's. So yes I would say they fit slightly different.

I never skated extensively in One95s so I cant comment on that, but they do fit differently. I would have had to have wide One95s or One100s stretched a bit more for my foot, but I did not have to do this with the TO, which is why I went with them. More skate than I needed but spent the extra based entirely on fit as its the only skate I've never had to have stretched to accommodate my wide foot.

I got mine in the exact size as my previous One75's. They are a bit more roomy than the One75's. I didn't notice them to be stiffer per say. Although they really perform well and I was a lot more confident on the TO's from the very first skate.

this is really strange.

They are a bit more roomy than the One75's.

One100 & T1s are made off a wide last & have quite different cut from One75 (that are basically One90 reborn) so yet - there's sub stantially more room in the boot!

I didn't notice them to be stiffer per say.

I wouldn't think so - my original point was that T1s are SOFTER, not stiffer...
