Can anyone comment on going from Sakic/P92/Draper to p106/Gagne? I'm toying with the idea of trying this curve. I do poorly with heel wedges (hard time keeping my shots down). If anyone has done this switch, was it a very difficult adjustment?

Thanks!

The p106 to me is more like the sakic as far as the openess of the blade. It takes more work for me to get the shot up than the p91a. I think it would be an easier switch than the sakic to p91a. The p106 is great for slap shots and with saucer passes! If the rocker was the same as the p91a it would be my number one curve.

I made the switch myself a few years ago...I've found the 106 better for throwing sauce, shooting high, and slapshots.

I preferred the 92 for straight wristers, but rarely take them in game.

For what it's worth, I like the pm9 best for puck handling and passing, but the 106 gives you so many options around the net and isn't terrible for stickhandling and passing.

P106 is a nice gateway to get people into heel curves. Next thing you know, you'll be all over the wedges.

It might wind up being a hell of a lot cheaper not to tinker with what I'm using. Tempting, though.

I've never really been able to do much with a wedge other than shoot rockets over the glass. It's pretty comical. Then again, I've never really stuck with one long enough to make the proper adjustments. The initial results were that bad. Going from a Montreal Euro (for 20 years or so) to Sakic/Draper/p92 was bad enough.
