freekincage77 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2010 I kept the puck and still have the pieces(pics may follow). All my sticks break in the shaft, generally near the kickpoint or the fusepoint. I'm not one of those guys who take chunks out of ice, but if try to hit less ice my shots have not been anywhere near the velocity they were.ANy suggestions? I'm using a one95 pro stick but the blade seems to be getting huge chunks out of it and i've used it for a game and a practice. Thanks for all the advice.James
almack 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 no one mentioned maybe his lie is way off considering he is 6foot4, good chance hes really hitting his heel hard and shaft is twisting instead of flexing evenly. Another thought as a heavier guy myself I find that a touch whippier stick tends to last longer for me I think at a point very stiff equals brittle. In defense I have seen a frozen puck break in half not by me but I have seen it. Good luck one gettting the problem solved
lappin27 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 If your breaking sticks in the same place, or getting cracks in the same area try different techniques or a different lie on your stick

freekincage77 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2010 Update, I have found the solution in a Bauer one95 pro stock stick. This thing is just a tank, non stop one timers at practice and it doesnt budge. 112 flex, custom pattern, and got 3 extra inches on it, it's amazing. My shot has actually improved with it. My snapshots and wristers have gone down a little in velocity, but I expected that switching from a low kick s19, to a mid kick one95. I have also broken glass twice in the last month, here's a link to a picture. Please note the bauer shoot with authority banner on the boards.http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=478320259175&set=a.478320254175.264871.501919175 Made me very happy. Thanks for all the ideas, I've got a solution until I break the 6 i've got. Hopefully by then i'll be playing ncaa. we'll see.

bostonjuniorblackhawks 1 Report post Posted December 17, 2010 just a random fact, but the s19 is more of a low-mid kickpoint.
freekincage77 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2010 I will update the photo as soon as I get to work. I actually have two different glass breakages caught. The first one I hit near the top of the glass. The second one I drilled right in the center.
