Curving Composite sticks

Recommended Posts

No good way of doing it without weakening the blade.

Composites weren't made for that. However, if you'd like to try, you're going to need to gradually heat it way up and find a way to gently bend it.

I have read numerous posts on numerous forums that mostly all agree that curving a composite stick is not the smartest idea. While you might be ABLE to do so, it's very difficult and not recommended.

I suppose if you want to curve a blade and have a composite shaft use a wood blade and composite shaft. I realize this compromises the blade just as much, but at least wooden blades can bend under heat. I personally have never had a problem as I love deep heel curves but no retailers around me supply them in wooden sticks. So I'm left to take a retail and do so myself
