I've done 2 pairs. I got the standard dual micronash palms. I thought I wanted the upgraded palms, but after thinking about it, I ecided to stick with the normal ones. Didn't feel like spending more money on palms that need more care.

I went with the VA-80 foams and pro pack an lock thumb... whatever the top of the line choice was. I like the plastic inserts and all that.

I didn't do too much custom stuff though. On both pairs I did have the cuff "split" sewn together because I had a pair of pro stocks that were like that and I enjoyed that style cuff. On my second pair I got a color that wasn't on the customizer. On both pairs I went with custom colors on the thumb logo.

I was also thinking about getting mesh gussets but was told they might not be as durable as regular gussets, so I passed on those.

I'd say check out some different retail gloves at your local store (if possible) so you can be familiar with all the different sizes. Then, make sure the glove is exactly what you want before you finish the order. Ask questions!

I've gotten 3 pairs of custom warriors so I've been around the block a couple times with these guys.

Brian covered a good amount of stuff above and has had some great gloves made for himself so take his advice.

But, to cover a bit more:

Palms: Overall, I'd go with either the pearl mustang or the micronash.

The nash is your thickest and most durable option, and this years nash source seems to be a bit more stiff than previous years, so in my opinion, due to the extended break-in and lack of feel I wouldn't go this direction.

The micronash is probably you best bet in terms of long term durability and feel for the stick. Very soft and gives you the feeling of a broken-in gloves right off the bat. This is the retail palm on franchises so you can check it out at any store.

Then you have the performance palms: goat is a leather palm that tends to stick to grip coated sticks (so it's not my favorite) while the mustang palm is very soft and doesn't stick at all. The only downside to these palms is that they can wear through much more quickly than the others. If I had to choose, I'd go withmustang

Gussets: Mesh or any other palm material, kinda neat, you can specificy the gussets to be a different material than the palms if you were so inclined. Had the mesh on a pair and didn't like how it felt against my hands, really just personal preference. (also, you can pick white or black gussets I believe)

Foams: Get the VA-80 Pro pack, it give you better slash protection than the others. I have a pair without the inserts and it works fine but if you're still playing competitive hockey and getting hacked a lot, grab the plastic inserts.

Cuff: You can get you cuff standard, which is the new blooming cuff. You can get you cuff sewed together like Brian has, which you should ask him more about if interested. You can also get the "twist" (correct me if Im wrong), which is a Hossa cuff that has a smaller inner wrist cuff to improve mobility.

Thumb Logo: This isn't on the customizer, but you can pick the colors of your thumb warrior (W) logo.

Hope this helps, feel free to hit me up with any Q's

Also, you should contact warrior if you have any questions, they're a great resource and respond very quickly to email.

Oh yeah, on the dual micronash, you have the lighter and darker material. I tried to get the entire palm in the darker gray material, but it didn't work out. I did get the gussets in the darker material though, so I find it kind of neat. A little different than the normal stuff.

As far as i know about cuffs, you can get different styles, but it's an additional price. If you have photos, it's very helpful to Warrior. Also on the thumb logo, you can get it in classic or carbon. I think the carbon looks pretty cool for the thumb logo.
