One100 vs TotalOne

Recommended Posts

Snapped my One95 last night on a slap shot. Right above the flex point.... :(

Going to upgrade in the coming weeks. Definitely going with a Supreme but not sure what the big difference is between the One100 and TotalOne.

Things I know...

• Different blades

• TotalOne is $$$

• TotalOne is a little lighter

Will there be a huge difference in feel, loading etc., between the two sticks?

Thx!!!

not sure on the specifics, but I'd say you're better off getting another one95 than a One100

Really? Why is that?

got a one100 and i like it feels pretty similar to the one95

Thanks. I cant say I was "in love" with me One95 but I definitely like the feel of it after using an S17 for months. I think I've officially switched to Bauer sticks. I just wanna know what the major differences/benefits of the TotalOne over the One100 are.

Total One Stick

One100 Stick

Compare the specs. Sounds like the Total One is made a bit differently probably giving it a different feel. Different foams used in the blade, also going to make it feel different. The One100 is lighter than the One95 (referenced from Ice Warehouse specs) with the Total One being even lighter than that.

I really like my total one! I have used one95's and swore by them, but after getting used to the feel of the totalone blade I am in love with it! My shots are noticeably harder and they seem to come off the stick a lot quicker as well! I think it is better balanced than the one95 as well! If you like the boxy shaft you will love the way the totalone feels in your hands!

P.S.

It seems stiffer than the same flex in a one95.

I do indeed love the boxy feel. The tac-spiral Bauer has is really nice too. I wish I could "try" the TotalOne and One100 before buying but no Bauer Experience in South FL. I think I'm leaning towards the One100 due to price though.

how does the blade feel of the totalone differ from the one95 ? i loved the puckhandling-feel of the one95 blade... my favorite aspect of the stick.

I actually just one a Totalone from a Sports Monkey give away at their new store in WoodBridge NJ. I was using the one95 previously. The sticks are simliar in puck feel. The boxyness is easy to get used to and the spiral grip is very nice. Shots come slightly harder off the blade I feel as well. I have only got 2 use the stick twice so I can't give much more then that for now. But definatly like the stick like it a lot more becasue it was free. Thanks Sports Monkey.

I would say it feels a little more lively. If the one95 blade and the x60 blade had a baby this would be it in my mind. I feel the puck more with the totalone especially receiving hard passes. It also took two or three skates to realize that hand placement on slap shots is a little different than with the 95's.

I definitely understand the price issue, but honestly i am glad I spent the extra money and I will do it again.

I love the balance of the stick.

Well, I got home from the Rangers vs Panthers game earlier than I thought and I convieniently had met up with friends at my local rink so when I got dropped off, my car was waiting in the parking lot with my hockey gear convieniently sitting in my trunk ;)

I couldn't resist.

Skated with the stick for about 45 min or so. I must say, the 2" longer stick, new curve, new flex is VERY hard to get used to. I whiffed on passes a few times, my shots were horrible and I felt my skating was sloppy (due to the longer stick??? or all of the beer from the game???)

Anyway, gonna be playing with the stick at open hockey tomorrow night. Keeping the stick full length for now.

I just broke down and bought a totalone, will be trying it out tommorow. Went with a 102 flex and a P88 curve (old faithful). I have given up on my reebok 11k and try this one out. I will post review after

Is the one one100 2 inches longer?

5

2" longer than my normal stick. I always cut mine down. I didn't cut the One100. Going to try and get used to it since I really SHOULD be using a little bit longer twig.

Getting used to it now. Took/Made some nice passes — definitely noticing the stiffer flex.

It's hard to get used to because when the length is different, that makes the lie different, which means your old posture won't be correct in pushing off the ice during shots or stickhandling.
