Budget Skate (around 250$)

Yeah, to tell you the truth, I may have sacrified in quality (since I was about to buy a pair of One70) buying the flexlite 3.0's. But hey ! they felt so much better on my feet ! And not to mention left some money in my pockets, which is kind of nice !

I can't wait to receive them. I won't receive them in time for my game this weekend though, that's bad...

I'd say the 3.0's are on the same level as far as quality goes with the One70's. Possibly even the One80's. You went one step down with the Flexlites, not three.

I think the 3.0 are lower than the one70 considering they have a lightspeed pro holder instead of the ls2. Can't change the runners without swapping the holder :(

Have you considered MLX skates? I know they're way out of your price range, but I've read a few places that they do have a special going on. It may bring them a bit closer to your range.

Not even close. $599 is the special right now.

Really, the only difference that is incredibly noticeable is the steel/holders. Throw some money into a new pair of ls2's and holders and you'll be golden.

I was actually thinking on doing that. I don't know if i'm skilled enough to really take advantage of such a swap but I may do it for the hick of it.

You're basically upgrading in quality for the holders, not so much a noticeable step in performance. That said, the LS2's are the better holder and you should switch to those, in my opinion.

I'm actually using a pair of Vapor 15s now, they have the lightspeed pro holder. Can you tell me what the actual difference is between them and the LS2?

UPDATE !

Damnnnn ... I think I am doomed ... The LHS just called me to tell me they won't be able to get me a pair of Flexlite 3.0 in the near future.

So I just went ahead and ordered a pair of Flexlite 4.0 ... A little bit more expensive but it has the LS2s so I won't need upgrading. I can't wait for this to be finally done .... Getting a pair of skate has really been quite a pain...
