Skate Problem

I am currently skating on Easton SE16's, and it seems as though every few weeks or so, a couple of my rivets will fall out. To dry my skates I take out the footbeds and hang them upside down, could this be the problem? Also, the rivets are usually not rusted when I look at them.

Yep it's happened twice

The shop is installing the wrong size rivets.

Eastons use 5/16" rivets - most stores do not stock that size.

The shell is also too thin and most importantly not soft enough in density where the rivet slightly digs into it for better grip, so very short rivets and constant checking and riveting or reriveting is a must. Plus holder alignment must be checked because you might be putting gin too much stress on either side of the boot so it becomes loose in a certain spot.

They were putting overlap material from the quarters over the holes so that it would hold better for that reason.

You might want to copper it at this point...
