I didn't need to, I got the shop to sand it down and they added something (kevlar I think) to suit it up for roller hockey. It feels okay but sometimes it feels like it's gonna snap during a hard slapshot

Well you could do that, but it shortens the life of the blade. Why not go with a standard shaft and something like a koho crossover blade for roller?

the shop didn't have any right abs blades
