Pierre Turgeon's daughter killed in auto accident

Recommended Posts

not sure if this was posted anywhere but At the end of the Blues game tonight on the TV broadcast when Al Macinnis shakes JD's hand there is a picture in the background that says Elizabeth Turgeon 1992-2010. It appears that she was killed in a car accident in New Mexico. I know lots of posters here are from Quebec and Pierre was a huge part of the Blues success in the early 2000's. My thoughts are with Pierre and his family.

Turgeon Tragedy

Elizabeth Turgeon was born the summer before her dad took the Isles on a magical

ride, all the way to the Stanley Cup Semi-Finals. Thursday evening, her all too

short life ended in tragedy. Heartfelt condolences to the Turgeon family.

This is awful. I met Liz and her dad when they came on her recruiting visit to MN last winter. Both were very nice. She ended up withdrawing from school/team right before the school year started so she never actually played for the U. I always have a hard time when kids die, regardless of how it happens.

How horrible. Cannot imagine what the Turgeon family is going through right now. Used to watch him play all the time here in St. Louis and he seemed to be a genuine guy.

Prayers go out to Pierre and the rest of the Turgeon family.
