Can you bake T-blades?

Recommended Posts

Hey there. I was just wondering, is it ok to bake skates that have t-blades? Has anyone tried before?

Well, I have baked 3 pairs of CCM ZG skates with t-blades and didn't have any problems. That I know of anyway. If I had to do it again, I would maybe remove the runners and the stabilizers, and just leave the holder.

Send Rupert Vielhaber an e-mail at rvielhaber@t-blade.net to get the real answer. Let us know what he says.

I also am wondering the answer to this question. Since you are 3/3 on them i guess it shouldnt be a problem, but i dont know if you should remove everything but the holders becuase you shouldnt be putting to much pressure on the holder alone. I would also say email the guy and ask him and please let us know.

Yeah, I guess I am 3 for 3 as I haven't noticed anything wrong with the holders, stabilizers, or runners, but I'm not sure I would notice anything unless it was dramatic. That's why I am curious as to what Rupert says.

On a side note: First pair was baked and then I used a FIT machine in a LHS. Second pair was baked at a LHS, twice, but no FIT machine. Third pair was baked by me at home. The first pair with the FIT machine was the most comfortable fit of my life. The second pair NEVER fit right. The third pair is fine, better than everything but a FIT machine fit.
