bauer patterns

Recommended Posts

thank you to everyone who helped me through my sakic blade crisis!! i took all your info and went to my hockey store i went with a shaft blade combo and bought the p88 blade pattern to start... i was wondering what the differences between the p88-p10-p14-p09 are? i can look at the blades all day but i would never understand the differences until i try them on the ice... again im looking for something similar to a sakic but shorter blade and more square toe(i play D- I take a lot of slap-shots,and there is nothing better than making a good crisp break out pas... i love carrying the puck but i dont really dangle)... the coffey pattern and the sakic pattern are the only two patterns i have used since 1995 i guess im looking for a hybrid of the two and i fear i will never find it!! im sorry if im being annoying or obsessive but if you love the game like i do im sure you understand!!

If other brands are a option a recchi/tavares ccm or datsyuk rbk would be similiar to what you want, in bauer maybe the p14 richards which is available retail on many of the bauer sticks and blades this year

The old Bauer P71 sounds almost exactly like what you want.

is the old p71 different then the current p71 peca? i checked the current p71 on blade pattern chart via hockeymonkey.com and it looks similair to the forseberg/zetterberg ??

i think the p12 is what he's looking for, if i remember correctly (the kessel on mybauer). barring that lie is an issue, as its supposedly a bauer lie 7

I think p14 spunds good for him. It has the squarish toe, kind of similar to a sakic and if I remember correctly from his original post he wanted something that closes.

But he got a shaft blade combo so he probably wouldn't mind getting a nice blade. The p14 is pretty open, even though the chart says slightly open.

I use the P14 pattern and I would say that "slightly open" is an accurate description. Also, the toe shape is very unique, somewhere between round and square.

P14 is only available on TotalOne or X:60 if I'm not mistaken.

Your mistaken its available in lower models one80 and anything supreme series above that but only in the 60 in the vapor series, I think they tryed it on the supreme80 model retail instead of the p106, but the higher lines have both available retail

Maybe the one I saw was alittle different. It looked more open and more like a toe hook than how it is described. The toe us like a narrow rounded square
