uclahockey707 1 Report post Posted January 30, 2011 I had a quick question about the warrior mesh gussets.I had the chance to try on a pair of ak27s a while back and the gussets felt rough on my fingers and made an annoying sound whenever they rubbed up against eachother. I really wasn't all that impressed with their feel. So, I was wondering if anyone who recently ordered a pair of custom gloves has experienced the same thing. Any opinions about the gussets at all would be really appreciated, thanks guys.

I guess you plan on playing in a really quiet rink??? LOL.I have mesh on four pairs of customs (two pro stock franchises, one custom franchise and on custom creeper) and I like them. I pair them up with the digital palms and find that they're lightweight and breathable. I haven't had any issues with them and I definitely don't notice any noise. HattrickSwayze 3 Report post Posted January 31, 2011 For those that have gotten mesh gussets on their gloves, do you actually feel a difference? I have mesh on my X72's but really don't notice any temperature difference between them and all my other gloves with solid gussets. Can't imagine it would be any different with the Warriors, or maybe I'm just not sensitive enough to things like how warm my fingers are.
larrivee 3 Report post Posted January 31, 2011 I felt a difference from the nylon/stretch gussets on the Vapor XXXX to Warrior Mesh. The Warriors felt cooler. I didn't feel any difference between the warrior mesh and the standard grey warrior gussets though- so it might just be that the Vapor XXXX gussets didnt breathe well at all. Gr8erade 1 Report post Posted January 31, 2011 I don't recall noticing much when I right started using the mesh gussets on the Warriors, until I used them and then switched back to a pair with non-mesh. They do feel cooler to me and it was apparent going backwards. As far as durability, sure, its a trade-off. But so is choosing a thin palm one over a thicker one. Its all personal preference. And if you buy mesh thinking its going to last as long as nash, then you're probably going to be disappointed. But that being said, I haven't run into any durability issues with any of my mesh gussets.
