Weight inside a stick

I recently came across an X60 from Michigan State. Its heavier in the handle and it has what i think to be weights but im not sure. Has anyone ever heard of this or has anyone done it to their own stick? Is there a way to get it out?

Just shine a flash light down the shaft, should be easy to see if there are weights inside. Maybe whoever owned the stick was trying to copy the Easton EQ50 idea.

A longer stick; they fuse a composite plug to it.

You can see the seam, and if you cut through there it would look double-walled.
