Christian Custom wood sticks

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any experience with these? Quality? Lead time?

Thanks for any info

Yeah I've ordered a set of customs from them. They're pretty solid wood sticks, it took something around 3 weeks if I recall correctly. I got 3 of them (minimum order) and haven't had any issues with them. Not saying they're tank like (although comparing the weight of a wood stick to composite, you might think they were made of tank parts ;) ), but I've yet to have any issues with them.

How do they feel in regards to shaft stiffness and blade stiffness. I always seem to have a problem with wood blades being too soft but it says you can order them with extra glass for the blade.

For what it's worth, I bought a stock ACV woodie from them. $48 bucks with shipping. Snapped it on my 3rd slap shot, right at the hosel. Needless to say I was pissed, and I won't be using their sticks any longer. Stick with Sherwood.

I went with the extra glass, and they've been pretty solid. Shaft is pretty stiff, I went with the 100 flex and it's stiffer than some of my 100 flex composites.

The ones they made when they were owned by Harrow were pretty good, the new ones aren't the same quality from what I have seen.

They went from the Christian family owning it, to Harrow owning it, then Justin Byfuglien had it for a bit, now its owned by Torspo.

All along the wood sticks were made at the same factory in Warroad, MN (since 1969). They relocated to a new facility in Roseau, MN in 2009 but its still the same equipment and employees...

Not true. Why make that statement when you obviously don't know the facts?

The new sticks are totally different than those from the Christian family and Harrow days. The employees are pretty much the same but the factory's machines are different, thus the sticks are totally different. Take it from someone that ordered custom blades hoping to get the old Christian/Harrow diamondlite blades. The new blades are not alike at all. Some might like them more, but I love the old blades.
