I'm taking a Photoshop techniques class, and for a project we had to take a company that is known for making one product, and design a line of goods for a whole new market for them. If that's hard to follow, I took Lotus, the car company, and designed skates inspired by some of their cars and features.

Make the holders a complete flat black with a yellow racing stripe running down the sides and I will take the 3rd one's. I love lotus cars and god. That is pretty sexy. I'd rock those. Maybe even allow for number customization and have the player numbers be in a racing font.

Could even go on to say, since it's a lotus inspired skate, it has to be the 'lightest' thing out there. :P

I agree. You it would look sick if you added a stripe to the holders or even the lotus symbol.

Its really pretty surprising to me that skates don't come in more dramatic color schemes like this.

Could sublimation or a similar tech be used to make custom patterns on skates? Hire a graphic designer and then send it in to a skate manufacturer and have the courier deliver it to your door? Custom skates like custom goalie masks?
