pro stock one95 stick oddity

ive had 2 adam burish one95s for about a year. i noticed something odd on the blade as i was taping before my last game...

its a bit hard to see, but it looks like the z-tac like material is coming off and you can see "versteeg".

the kris and some numbers following are not nearly as visible yet.

I think it's something Bauer just does..

I've seen 'Kovalchuk' stamped on blades of Bauer one95s despite the nameplate saying otherwise.

I'm guessing it is because one player uses another's pattern. If Burish uses the same curve as Versteeg, why should Bauer be forced to keep them both on file as separates?

There have been a handful of Gonchar sticks on Ebay with the imprint "MALKIN" in the blade just like that. I couldn't 100% say that they both use the same curve, but from pics I've seen of both of them that would be my guess.

I had a Malkin x60 with "niedermayer scott" on the blade

It's not pro stock obviously but my X40 stick has "X50" stamped on the blade in the same manner.
