CCM U+ Crazy Light

Recommended Posts

i've used several u+ cl pro stock, very nice stick, its light maybe not as much as the retail but is very well balanced and as a nice feeling with the puck, everyone as different opinion, almost everyone like the se16 and its stick i hate the most... no one can talk for anyone.

The crazyOvi is interesting to say the least, mine got pretty scuffed up in the first few games of use, but stayed solid, no issues for me thus far. i saw a CS in the shop the other day as well, it has a real nice matte grip finish

How did the CS feel in comparison to the CL? i've had a few of the octogun 50's and a u+07 and thought they were great... until they blew up or the blades got soft. I'm really hoping it's comaprable to the easton st for durability but with the performance of the cl

Is that curve even functionable?

Haha then the picture in the catalogue is misleading!

Well...it may have a little more toe to it as well. But if you can use a p92 or Sakic I think it will be an easy transition. If you are using a pm9 then yes it may take a few skates to get used to it.

The CrazyOvie that I saw today had little resemblance to a P92. I think that curve is by far in a category of it's own.

It's a pretty easy curve to pick up I think. I usually use a Sakic/P92 and within one SNP was shotting Ovie's pro stock just fine. It's a great stick. A little harder to work on receiving passes (at least for me) but shooting wasn't a problem at all.

I've actually been using the crazyovi curve for about a week now. (Came from the p88) it definitely took me a few skate to get use to shooting but I actually like the way the puck comes off the blade. And as for the overall stick I think its a great stick. However its got sum nice dings a chips. A few on the blade too.

would you mind telling me when it breaks?

Sure. I honestly don't think it will break anytime soon. It took some hard slashes and held up well besides the chipping

Yeah I just want to see how it compares to the old crazy light durability wise.

I've decided to give this stick a try. So far I played 4 games with it, and it's a pretty good. I've never played with a curve like crazy ovi, but I really like, especially for wristers. Hope it will be more durable than previous crazy light.

Just an update, have been playing with this stick for about 6games so far, yesterday I ended up poke checking a slapshot that resulted in our stick slamming into each other. His blade broke and I thought for sure mine did too. Untapped it after the game ans its no worse for wear. I think ccm stepped it up this year with this stick. Extremely happy with it. And after getting use to shooting with the cravyovi curve I love it.
