Hockey Net Dimensions

Recommended Posts

Hi, could you help me to clear up something?

1) Dimension of a net is 6' x 4'. But is it external dimension (including pipes), internal dimension (excluding pipes) or mid dimension (basicly including one post and half of a crossbar)

2) What is the official diameter of a pipe/post, 2 3/8", right?

3) Net corners are rounded. Is there any rule what radius should cornes have?

Thx.

NHL rule 2.1 specifies 6' X 4' as the inner dimension of the goal.

My understanding is that goal posts are 2.375" o.d., 2" i.d.

EDIT:

Arizona Sports Equipment uses "S.R." 90 degree elbow, which I assume is standard radius, whatever that might be. Interesting, since the rule specifies no allowance for radius, and this reduces the goal opening below the size mandated by the rule.
