Anyone know of a really good resource (website, DVDs, Book, etc) to learn more about positioning/tactics and overall strategy? Thanks!

Watch the NHL. Take note of where they position themselves, who they support, where they don't go, ect. Best way to learn.

this is exactly what i do.

i usually watch the players who i play similar to but if i have a bad game or make some bad decisions, i usually pay special attention to the next game that i watch to see what the pro does in the same or similar situation.

You can actually try playing NHL 11, gives a pretty good basic idea IMO, and positioning is quite important in the game. I beat my friend constantly and I think the main reason is because I actually play hockey and know how to utilize each strategy better than he does.
