Looking For Help Locating a Jersey

Recommended Posts

I'm a rather large mammal, 6'5" and 290 lbs, and am playing just regular beer league intermediate hockey and cannot find a jersey for the summer league. Normally when you sign up the jersey and socks are provided but the last vendor they had to deliver jerseys had them made in a factory by midgets. The 3XL's don't come close to fitting me and almost cut circulation off in my arms with elbow pads on. They also said they couldn't get me anything larger. I fixed that little problem by getting one of the Reebox 4xl NHL practice jersey's and removing the logo. Fits great...close enough on the colors. This summer I'm supposed to be playing on a team with "royal blue" colors and cannot find a jersey from any of my usual sources.

The Reebok edge and all of the K1 jersey's fit great and I'd be happy to buy my own if I could lay my hands on one. Anyone see any 4XL practice jersey's at your LHS, or know of any online?

I have indeed tried the goalie cuts but the sleeves are just too "flappy" with the extra material. Oh to be "normal" sized. Anyone think Chara would take my calls as to who does his jersey's for him?

Tondog, a 3XL should fit you without a problem. If it doesn't, then it isn't a true 3XL. I've made one for a MSH member...five in fact.

I wholeheartedly agree and think that K1 is shrinking them to skimp on fabric or something!? What brand did you use Junkyard?

It is going to be one of his. That is a large part of his business is designing and building jerseys and other soft goods for hockey as well as other sports.

bigstick.ca has a section that shows the measurements of the sizes of all the manufacturers of jerseys they carry - can get an idea whose sizes run larger.
