Minimum wage is $7.05 (US) in Oregon.

I dont think its the highest either, but its in the top 3 or 4.

That's a little bit of alright. In Ontario it is $7.40, up from $6.85 (changed about a year ago), and should be going upto $8.25 fairly soon (within a year or two)

Connecticut and Alaska have us beat by a nickle and a dime. I think I remember hearing about an initiative to raise it again, but I don't think it went anywhere.

I agree with most on this one. Anywhere you go there is always the possibility of running into racist people. I know it happens in Vancouver and most everywhere else.

That being said, I'd avoid Arkansas and Alabama and stuff, but seriously, a large city like Chadd said tends to be more diverse. Good luck on finding a place to relocate. Personally, I love Vancouver/BC and would like to one day move out there maybe.
