Stick flex thread

As we all know, stick flex ratings are not necessarily consistent from company to company, or sometimes even between different models made by the same company. At least in terms of how they play, some sticks seem to feel stiffer than rated, others seem to feel whippier than rated. I figured we could have a thread where people list some sticks they've used recently, and whether they seem to play stiffer than rated, whippier than rated, or about as expected.

Obviously very subjective, but could still be useful information. I apologize if this has been done before, didn't seem like it in my quick search, but if so feel free to lock er up :)

Anyways, I'll start:

Felt a bit stiffer than rated:

Easton ST, 85 flex (2009 model I think, the blue/silver one)

Felt about as expected:

Sherwood RM8, 85 flex (unsure of year, blue/silver)

Bauer Vapor X40, 87 flex (2009? Blue/white/black)

Felt a bit whippier than rated:

Bauer one95, 77 flex (the Bauer one, not the NBH)

Felt way whippier than rated:

Base Savoy Special, 75 flex (2011)

Sherwood 5030, 85 flex (it's a woodie, but whatever, it has a flex rating and it's popular so I included it)

Felt about as expected:

Reebok 9K Ritola Pro Stock, 100 flex.

Felt a bit stiffer than rated:

NikeBauer Vapor XXXX, 87 flex (Cut two inches, tad stiffer than I expected)

Felt way whippier than rated:

NikeBauer One90, 77 flex (Was a gift...cut two inches and still super whippy)

All of my ratings are based on my experience with cutting my sticks two inches from retail.

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks bauer 77 flexs are super whippy. Had a totalone 77 flex with two inches cut off and it still felt like a 67 flex.

Low kickpoint sticks will feel 'stiffer' compared to mid-kick sticks, just a disclaimer; so don't go and give each of your sticks a push and post on this thread, you better have had enough experience with it and used a variety of shots before you can judge.

This is absolutely correct. As is the fact that "feel" is incredibly subjective.
