need help with helmet and visor

I just bought a RBK 6K size large and was going to put my oakley visor on it but it doesnt seem to fit. I'm trying to find out will I need a spacer kit or just longer screws to fit. The holes just wont line up right.

Is it the spacing between holes on the visor that's the problem? A picture might help, I'm a visual person.

Should fit fine with the spacers that come with most visors. I've had no problems with my reeboks and the visors I've put on them.

What visor did you buy?

I bought the visor last year off ebay its a pro stock Oakley. I got it to fit. I just used some longer helmet nut to hold the visor a bit better. It just took some time trying to find my box of odds and ends of helmet parts. I will post pics later.

I went with longer nut and shorter screws to make it look like there were some spacers.

I had a Reebok 6K in large and an Oakley pro straight and had no issues mounting it without spacers. I used slightly longer screws but you couldn't tell..

You can get round plastic spacers from your local hardware store if you don't have the Oakley spacers. Helps to have spacers so the visor isn't pulled in at the sides and pulling on your helmet.

On my CCM helmet i had to buy longer space so the visor didnt have a lot of bend inward

with the longer nut i put on my helmet it actually made it easier to get the visor on. Like I said I will post a pic soon.
