Help buying gear sizes and advice

Hi All,

Just need to ask a few questions regarding some gear. I'm buying online as I like the RBK range of gear and from reading some reviews it seems to be up there for ICE Hockey. I already have the 11K elbows in a medium and I love the feel of them.

Weight : 86KG

Height 5"7-8

I am looking to buy the below:

RBK 11K Shinpads 14" I know my size as currently have easton 14" but they are only a light shinpad for inline hockey.

RBK Shoulder Pads 11k. Not sure on my size I am thinking Large but does anyone have these and know if they are a tighter fit or a looser fit?

Reebok 9K SNR ice Hockey Pants. The sizing of these once again are they tight or loose? I am a 38"-40" in Jeans which would indicate an XL in these pants?

Also anyone recommend some good gloves? out of Eagle, RBK or Warrior

Only just starting ice hockey but have played inline for years.

Also be honest. If you think it is worth spending the extra doe and getting the shoulders and pants fitted properly let me know...

If you've got a decent store near by go to the store and spend a little more up front. You'll be properly fitted and in the long run will likely save money.

RBK isn't stocked in Australia. Also the savings would be around the $600 mark ^.^

I hate to thread jack but I figured I do it instead of starting a new thread. For those who are using One95 elbows. Are you finding that the medium is a little big or that they run big in general? I tried on the One95 elbow in a small today and it seemed to fit nicely. A little tight on the anchor strap, but the slash guard fit nicely as did the bicep.

Also been doing a bit of searching seems Tackla is the brand to get for ice hockey pants?
