Broken steel screw One 95/ls2

Recommended Posts

Tonight as I was installing new LS2 in my One95's the screw snapped as I was tightening it down. It is stuck with Nylon lock nut on and I cannot get it out. Any suggestions? The nut is on the screw in the heel of the boot. The round piece broke off just above the non-threaded part of the screw. I am supposed to skate at 10 central.....bummed thanks

Thanks

So, can you get the steel out? If so, maybe you can then use something to push out the remainder of the screw and nut.

If you're adventurous, you can tape the steel horizontally to the holder on both sides just for the one ice time. I had to do that once when my screw snapped during a game.

The nut is wedged in there really tight. I have the steel off. The remaining bolt and nylon lock nut are stuck really bad. The nut will not turn on the screw because there is no resistance. I tried knocking it through but did not want to hammer on it because I did not want to do the wrong thing.

I decided to go with Brute force. I used an old blade screw, inserted in from the holder side and drove the screw out using a hammer.
