Pant Shells

I've been noticing after the past few games that my Tackla's are getting pretty banged up. I figure the only way to help prolong the life of them is to buy a shell or two. I know that Tackla's are a longer style of pant so I wonder if anyone knows of shells besides the Tackla ones that will cover the full length of pants? I want to try and keep the whole pant covered as to not have any ripped pieces exposed.

Tackla shells are still out there, assuming they have what you need in stock.

That site doesn't seem to want to answer any phone calls about their orders so I'm moving on to some other places. I'm now searching for any type of pant shells and need some help on sizing. My Tacklas are a size 48. Will a size small shell cover these up or should I jump to a size medium? Thanks.

Didn't want to start another topic on this so I figured I'd post in here. I just picked up a Tackla shell at my LHS in a size 48 to cover up my ripped size 48 Tackla 9000Z. In the store they fit over the pants nicely but as soon as I had them on the ice during a game I noticed that they creeped up about 2 inches from the bottom of my pants. Which was both annoying and uncomfortable.

So my question here is If I jump to a medium will that increase the length of the shell that much to make up the difference or will it just be wider? If not are their any other shells that have a long cut to them?

Ok I'll try and find a medium one and give that a shot. I doubt I'd be able to find someone willing to make 1 custom shell but maybe I can get a couple of guys I play with to snag some too. Thanks.
