Small or Medium Helmet?

I'm looking to get a new helmet and have found two that feel comfortable on my head, the Reebok 11k and the CCM V10.

My only question is I'm not exactly sure which size to go with, a Small or a Medium.

I'm about 5'7" 145lbs, and my head circumference is right at about 22". According to their sizing charts I'm just at the top end of a small or bottom end of a medium.

I've tried Small and Mediums in both models and honestly, can't really decide which feels "better". I'm well past the age of growing and both sizes seem to offer a comfortable and secure fit.

Is there any rule of thumb to go buy or personal experiences? Does the fit change slightly after breaking in that would suggest one over the other size-wise?

I have the same problem with my large and XL EastonS9s. I felt the large pinching my head a bit too much, but the fit was great so I bought an XL, but that one felt too loose and bulky sized all the way down.

I ended up using both, large with a visor and the XL with a cage. At the end of the day, both fit fine...but the large loosened up even more and now that one fits the best. So if I were you, I'd go with the smaller bucket.

Another deciding factor for me was the fact that it the low profileness I liked from the S9 was lost in the XL helmet. Since I had to size it down, it just looked like a massive shell around my head.
