Size in Vapors not the same as Size in Supreme TotalOne skates?

Recommended Posts

Hey Whats up Modsquad!

Just came from my hockey Retailer after trying on a pair of Bauer TotalOnes in a 7.5D (which is the size of my VaporX60's) and they fit big on me. I wanted to try on a 7, but unfortunately they didn't have in stock, so I went ahead and tried on a 6.5D, which was way to small. Curious, if any of you guy's have had the same experience of sizes not coinciding from the Supreme line to the Vapor line. The only reason I could believe my size would go down in the Supreme line, is because it's a wider fitting boot then the Vapor, allowing for my foot to spread out a bit more and therefore decreasing in length a half size. My foot wasn't floating in the 7.5D, I could brush the toe cap if I tried, but I know how a skates suppose to fit in the store, and these were def were too big. A 7 would probably be perfect.

On a side note, I REALLY liked the TotalOnes. Amazingly comfortable skate out of the box. Was not pushing on my feet in any areas. Had a nice straight lace all the way up. And the Tongue on them was absolutely amazing. It felt supportive and cushioned, and I loved every part about them! Def not how my Vapors felt out of the box. Starting to think, my foot is made for Supreme' and not Vapor line.

I tried on several pairs of Supremes, Vapors and even Flexlites....

I wear a 9.5 in Vapor but 9.0 in Surpreme and Flexlite. EE width in all (although the Flexlite D width was not overly uncomfortable).

Beware that I have read here that the TotalOne and APX fit slightly differently than the lower models of each line....

Different lasts. The supreme is made on an over sized last; meaning, a Supreme skate in a D-width is going to be an E-width in Vapors. That will explain the different in fit. Pay special attention to the heel, if your heels lock fine in a vapor, chances are they wont in a supreme.

Awesome. Glad my findings have been the same with others.

I tried on the APX, and they didn't fit my feet right. Felt the Totalones were an all around out of the box more comfortable skate for me.

Gotta locate a size 7D, which will be a half size smaller then where I'm at right now in my Vapor X60's, and will report back with findings.
