PluckyPurcell 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2011 Hello. I had good hit to my EQ50 stick the other night and it started sounding like a baby rattle after that. Turns out the weighted plug broke in half so one of the weights was bouncing around in the shaft. Has anyone had this happen? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

mlmm 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2011 This exact same thing happened to mine and no matter how hard I try I cannot rid of the rattle. Half of the plug was still there and the other half was stuck in the shaft. So frustrating. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
PluckyPurcell 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2011 Mine actually broke in 3 pieces. 2 of the parts were stuck too low in the shaft to pull out, but I was able to get them out by tapping the stick upside down against the floor. It took awhile but eventually worked itself out. Once I got it out, fixing it was easy as posted above, but I'd recommend wrapping it in tape before putting it back to keep everything together if it breaks again -- my fix actually broke in the next game as well.
