Is there major difference between Bauer junior XL v Bauer senior S pant?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to replace my old sz S CCM pants that I've had since HS (25 yrs old now)..which I now find to be a bit too bulky/heavy. I don't know how I managed to use those in high school.

Size wise, I'm fairly slim, 5'7'' 135-140. W/a true 29'' waist.

Bauer's youth XL measurements are 28" - 30" / 5'3" - 5'8" while their senior S measurements are 30" - 34" / 5'5" - 5'9".

I only play recreationally (pick up games/rat hockey) so not looking to buy anything TOO fancy/expensive. The Bauer one40 pants caught my eye for the price pt.

Junior http://www.icewarehouse.com/descpage.html?pcode=B14PJ'>http://www.icewarehouse.com/descpage.html?pcode=B14PJ $46.99

Senior http://www.icewarehouse.com/descpage.html?pcode=B14P $55.95

Should I go for the Senior or the Junior? I understand it's all personal preference..but does anyone here who's a smaller player..use Junior equipment? If so..what are your experiences? Size wise.

If you have the ability to, trying them on first would be your best bet as there are many factors and you don't want to order something that isn't going to fit to save a few bucks. It is only 10 dollars and if 10 dollars means it fits you properly then it is 10 dollars well worth it in my opinion.

@wrangler-Thanks! Checked it out..great advice given..was more looking for answers as far as a specific brand, but good looks on the link!

Agreed. I was going to hit my local LHS today after Stick/Puck but they weren't open till 3 and I had errands to run. I'll probably head out there again next week and try on some Bauer pants for sizing. I actually had a chance to try on some Easton kids XL vs a Easton adult S and while the fit is the same in the waist..the legs fit a bit odd on the XL. I'm hoping that's not the case for the Bauer. Thanks!
