Easton S19 Helmet Worth the Extra Money Over the S9?

Hey guys,

I was planning on going and picking up an S19 helmet tomorrow, but noticed that the S9 is on sale for $40. In your guys' opinion, is it worth the extra $60 for the S19? Is the S9 as light as the S19 or close? Do they fit about the same? I could use some new gloves too and I could get both for the price of the S19.

They're very different helmets. Try them on and go with the one that fits best, regardless of the price.

I have the S9 and love it. Looks and feels great. Aside from being incredibly light weight, I think most of us rec league players would be fine in the S9 over the S19. It's so lightweight that people have issues with mounting cages and shields on it.

Went to the LHS today. Unfortunately they didn't have any S9's in medium to try on, so I decided to just pay the extra for the S19. I can't imagine a helmet fitting better and being any lighter anyways. I really liked the E700 and Reebok 11K, but couldn't justify spending the extra money on them with the S19 being so comfortable.
