Played Outdoor Hockey in Sacramento

Each year the city of Sacramento sets up an outdoor holiday skating rink from Nov-Jan. This year we were able to schedule a couple games of outdoor shinny for two hours on Saturday mornings.

It felt great to play ice hockey again. It had been roughly 10 years since I had played on ice. It felt so refreshing and natural to play out there. If any of you happen to be from the Sacramento area, we'll be organizing both regular day and night games next year.

Well. Long story short. This rink burnt down two years ago. They were able to save the pipes and the coolant system. So now it is only open during the winter. No roof, so we play under lights.

I skated on a beach in Australia this summer(winter in oz I think).
