Help me identify these pants

I was told these were Pens 3rds, but they don't have the stripes and the NHL logo is a different shade.

They are Bauer #44 size XL, I'm thinking they are Brooks Orpik's but can't find a single picture of anyone wearing them.

The Bauer logo on the front of the pant was removed for some reason, I don't see anything else on the other pant leg.

Any input would be great, love the pants to say the least.

My only thought would be the Bauer logo was removed so they could wear them in the AHL. However, WilkesBarre doesn't wear that color pants.

Asserting that they are Orpiks by the faded #44 would be a bad idea. Generally they have their name stitched even in their pants.

Assuming these pants are circa 2004-2006 (my guess, as ive had similar Bauer Nike pants)

Kimmo Timonen wore 44 for the Predators in that era, but i don't think he's that big of a guy

Pronger was with the Blues until 05 i believe, and checking hockeydb, Modry was with the Thrashers.

The Bauer logo isn't the older style though, it's the newer font sans Nike.

Seems everyone is stumped lol

Could be from the Caps. Hamrlik is 44 and would likely wear an XL.
