skate sizing

Recommended Posts

hey all. right now i have reebok skates. they are a 9d. i wear 10-10.5 shoe depending on the brand. the thing is when i put them on they seem about right in the length but i have to tie them really tight up towards the top and ankle area and pump them alot. what other brand would give me a better fit

It's really hard to say. Best thing to do is go to a local store and try some on different skates. Bauers have a more aggressive cut than CCMs and Reeboks, so they might be tighter towards the top for you. Impossible to say for sure what would be the best fit.

Try on a few brands and choose what fits best, simple as that. Everybodys foots different so I cant just say one brand that would work because I haven't seen your foot. I'd start with a Supreme in a Bauer and go from there.

thats the thing, weve got 2 rinks around here and the only one that had a decent pro shop closed the shop down basically they just sell replacement blades and apparel and tape and what not. no quality skates only a few clearance pairs. i dont really have anywhere to go and try on. really sucks

Is there a shop thats worth driving a bit to? Other than that you would have to order online, id go with icewarehouse because they are very good about returns and whatnot. Whats your price point. Feel free to msg me.

It sounds like they may just be a bit big... The feel of your boot really is personal peference.

FWIW I wear a size 12 shoe but my skates are 9.5. You can always have your skate punched out or

streched but there really in no good way to make them smaller.

I'd suggest that you go try some on with an open mind. When I was loking for skates I walked in to the shop expecting to

buy a pair of X50s. After trying them and several other pairs on I walked out with a pair of One80s. No one was more surprised than me.

But they just fit the best for my foot.

Good luck
