Doctor Hook 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 Question: my wheels need to be tightened after almost every game. Is that a normal thing or a sign of something wrong?

Kanya 3 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 Loctite. Just a small blob will do the trick mate :)
wetwilly17 6 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 They shouldn't be loosening that much. You probably aren't tightening the axles enough. If you use loctite then don't use high strength.
kerr 1 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 You probably aren't tightening the axles enough.Don't over tighten your axles. This will cause your wheels to not spin very well. Use loctite.
Doctor Hook 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 Good advice, all. I'm still new to roller game and inline skates. I guess I need to find the happy middle ground between overtightened and too loose/loosening every game. Will look into loctite as well.
wetwilly17 6 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 Don't over tighten your axles. This will cause your wheels to not spin very well. Use loctite. If tightening the wheels to where they wont come loose causes increased bearing friction, then the issue is poor manufacturing tolerance of either the spacers, wheels or chassis. Usually the wheel is at fault.
