Graf Skate Sizing

Recommended Posts

I went to my LHS the other day and took some pictures of their Graf Brannock. It's not as clear cut as you would think but maybe it will help someone.

Here is a ruler lined up for length

Here we have the width. you will use this for your heel and forefoot.

Here is the scale to use for forefoot width. Match up your number with skate size. Sorry some of the numbers are rubbed off but hopefully you can make it out.

Here is the heel scale to measure up with.

Here is a Bauer Brannock to compare. Grab a piece of paper or somthing flat and hold it up against your screen. This should give you an idea on comparing the two and how they differ in size

Now here's my foot. I wear a size 7 in Bauer. In this it looks like an 8 but I found a 7.5 fits best with my second toe barely touching the cap.

The only scale I don't know how they measure, is the heel instep depth

Enjoy!

I'm looking to buy Graf skates as well. I just moved to Austin, TX from NYC so there isn't a lot of shops here that carry or have Graf's in stock. There is a shop in Canada that I sent pics of my feet, tracings and measurements too for a remote fitting. Doing measurements and tracings was pretty tuff, I did the best I could.

I was told size 8 Regular width Graf 735 was the skate for me. The reason for the 735 over the 703 or G3 is the fit will be better. The 703/G3 fit very narrow and quite shallow. I was told out of all the Graf models, the 735 would work best. Also he added the RBK in a sz 7.5 in either the 18K or 20K would work. They fit wider in the forefoot like the 735. As for Bauer, the Supreme line would be better then the Vapor. They fit a little deeper then the Vapor line.

WIth all that said, I still have yet to pull the triger. I would really like to go somewhere where I can get a complete fiting in Graf's, get them molded, ect. Anyone know where I could get that done in Graf's? I"m in Austin, so I would have to travel outside of the state, not sure how far though.

I have got a stake fitting like this before, but that was in Canada, I really need something like this in the in the states
