itech hc100

our team just got our team helmets in, the itech hc100s in yellow, but i'm having trouble adjusting mine. we tried on different sizes before ordering them in, and a medium fit fine. i use a medium bauer 5000 currently. my problem is, on the side of the itech where the two pieces of the helmet slide together, theres still room left to slide to make the helmet smaller, but it won't budge. we noticed that the padding inside the helmet is touching and will not allow it to budge. on my bauer i have the helmet near as small as she'll squish together, but i can't get that same tight fit on this one. and suggestions on how/if i can make this one smaller, or do i need to get a small, or what? kinda pooped out about this

Itech only makes 2 shells (XS/S and M/L) so the only difference between a medium and large is the padding--medium has thicker foam and it's cut a little differently. When you crunch your medium helmet to its smallest size, there is still a gap in the plastic, but the padding is all the way together. You might need a small, or you might have to find some thin foam padding and place it in your helmet to give it a tighter fit.
