Nike Bauer XXV Cutting

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I am new at cutting sticks down, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this particular model, and if any standard tapered blade will fit, prior to me hacking it up. I found it in some storage and its just been sitting down for a while, so id like to test out a wooden blade in it for chips and pickles. http://www.totalhockey.com/Product.aspx?item=4207 my only worry is that it says it has a "vapor taper" and gives a measurement of the taper, if i dont get any replies ill just cut into it and try for myself, but id like to not waste a stick if possible, even if its only use would be my girlfriend chasing me down the street tiger woods style next time shes pissed.

Most Bauer sticks are bladder molded so it has rounded corners on the inside. I have seen people manage to fit tapered blades in but more often than not it doesn't work all that great. You could always flip it and put a standard blade in the other end but then you are also changing the flex profile of the stick at that point.

yea, not all that familiar with bauer sticks, that was my first and only non woodie by them. Not really interested in a standard blade for that matter, but i feel your right from some of the things i have seen.
