reebok 11k cage question

I have a reebok 11k in medium. helmet fits fine. cage is a medium also, but seems a little off. chin cup comes up a little high and the bars feel/look like they don't line up right. one of the top bars almost goes right in my line of sight.

is it ok to put a large 11k cage on the medium helmet? will fit be off? I was thinking about buying the cage in a large or getting the ccm fm480 in large/chrome.

any advice?

The general rule of thumb is that I buy the cage, like the helmet, to fit my face. Make sure it'll fit you before you make sure it'll fit the helmet.

It's very common for people to have to swap cages to get a perfect fit. I used to do that in my shop all the time, less than half of our customers fit in a stock helmet/cage combo
