Jersey tuck with girdle?

This is probably a dumb and very simple question, but be patient with a hockey noob.

I wear my jersey tucked into my pants normally.

I am thinking about buying a TotalOne girdle and a shell. Can you tuck a jersey into the girdle or the shell? Or can you not really do that with a girdle/shell?

I wear an older Bauer One90 girdle and don't tuck. JR's right between the girdle and shell would be the best option, not sure how that would look as most shells fit tight at the top, like a pair of jeans or shorts would. My son uses the X60 and does the half tuck into the girdle. He's able to use the thicker lip at the top of the girdle to tuck his jersey into more like one would with the bulkier looser fit at the top of most hockey pants.
